MAKING PROGRESS! FINALLY

So since i intraduced myself, i have made a significant amount of progress on my 5 going on 6 year long project. So i have the inside of the cab painted, and the insides of the doors. Cab is back in place. Climate control is back in, as well as the other engine bolted in place. I got the pedal set painted and bolted back on, the inner fenders, radiator support, brake booster, and brackets and hardware, all repainted and reinstalled. Fenders are back on to. So here is where i go into a story. I went to Bend OR to look at some hoods. Bend is about 100 miles over the mountains from sweet home. So i go to bends only wrecking yard to look at these hoods that are supposedly in great shape, and they are decent. rust free at least. So i go to the front desk and ask for the price. 150 the guy tells me, so rather than let my anger get the best of me, i left. I drove to redmond and checked out some hoods and they were all junk compared to the one in bend. So i call the junkyard, and told the guy i had called before and they told me 60 for the hood. And thank the lord this guy has some buisness ethics and honors the price. I got the hood home and started on some sanding. not only does this hood have bondo, but it has been painted 3 times. But it is the best hood i have found, and i have been all over oregon. so it is now stripped and i am in the body work stages. the bed is also at the body shop and is almost done.
