Stand at the front or the back of the truck and look down the side and all will be revealed.

it's named for the"bump" running down the side of the truck. about halfway between top and bottom. All 1967-1972 ford trucks had this bump. The 1973-1979 trucks are refered, to as dent sides because they have a dent rather than a bump.
