alright, so things should start sorta moving these next few weeks. i have to pull the intake, and figured hey......perfect time to have it blaster and painted. better yet.......not a better time to blast and chrome my thermostat cover and also go to electronic ignition. Once those little things are done, the motor will then be pulled/ resealed/tranny serviced/rebuilt maybe, and rear end resealed and serviced.

Very cool I wish I would have found a SB but mine is a LB. Kind of funny Mine is primered the same and looks like it was the same original blue, although you have a lot less body work to do than I do. I even bought mine almost exactly a month before yours I think.

If anyone has detailed specs of that crossmember, im sure i could figure a way to build it. I won't be using the stock frame, but either a full custom or the front off this, and run rails from firewall back. I want to run 22's all around so i know ill be cutting a lot of things, but that doesnt bother me really. I have a 9 inch under the truck now, If i have to get a new one, i guess I have to, but would like to keep what I have and just get the front drilled out for what i have now. How much will you let the front brake stuff go for? Is it the granada rotors/calipers/and caliper brackets?? If you have any pictures and measurements of that crossmember, that would help a lot.

alright, pulled the intake/dizzy/carb and all, some of you may know this, I know its been FOREVER AND A WEEK for my to update, but I wasnt really inspired to work on the truck until as of late. So I have a few before and after just so I can show some work being day. Its the intake dotcentral sent me. Its deffinately original haha had a lot of cork gasket on it which was expected. So here are the pics, hope you enjoy.....
this is the "after" as I didn't get a before pic of this side.
this is the opposite side before any work.
this is it now, going on tomorrow after I get my welding cart! Birthday week!
And that is how the motor is right now. I plan on running a rope under the carb spacer, without any of the gaskets for it installed, that way i can hold it up and not smash my fingers or anything once i get it on the posts of threaded rod. I hope that helps with lowering it down straight and even.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

It would get sprayed down sooner but I am afriad of the wiring being wet, cranking it, and starting a whole mess. Theres a few wires not even covered, its sorta scary.
