Took the day off today from work to register the new truck and get some things done on the 72. I rolled the roof again to give it the 4th coat and put the hood back on the truck. I can't believe how good the hood and fender turned out. I'll post some pics. The door and roof need work to bring up to same par as the hood though. The last coat on the hood was done after I smoothed the layers beneath to quality gray color that indicated to me that all orange peel and running was removed. I figured I would get the parts put back on the truck before I finish them and final sand, compound and wax.

Well the weekend was used to get the 89 thru inspection. Put new coil springs on the front and shocks all around. Had a funny electrical problem when you push the brake the back brake lights light and the right front turn signal. Thought that was very odd , then the turn signals wouldn't work. Went out this morning to figure it out and everything was normal again. I wish there was a website like this for the 89. I bought a radio and can't figure out the wiring since the wires are just hanging in there. I can't even find a manual on the 89. My daughter still working on the chrome for the 72 and it is looking good. I will post pictures soon. I just noticed water under the heater in the 89 so it looks like I'll be trying to figure out how to replace a heater core real soon.

Sounds like the 72 is coming along great. As for the 89...I wish I could help, but have no clue.

My Dad has an 81 that got t-boned and lost the bed, so he got a 86 with everything but a motor. He's going to put the transmission in his truck and the bed...I told him about the 50 buck paint job, so I think he's going to try it with my 16 year old nephew doing the most work.

Well, Good luck and thanks for the updates.
