Last night I loosely bolted up the fender just to see what the stance was going to look like after I notched the floor brace and set the cab into the final position...
I am VERY pleased with the stance. I still have the original 15 inch rims on there now, I can't wait to see what the 18's are gonna look like. It also looks like I have plenty of clearance for steering. For some strange reason, I just can't seem to wipe the off my face.
If your not going to go any lower then you should be fine steering wise.
I am so exited about your project I think this should be on the pages of classic truck.

I can't wait to see it with the bed sitting back on it.

Well, I got a little more mockup done this weekend. Looks like I'm in good shape as far as fitment goes. I'm still pondering on whether or not to do a tilt front end. I think It'll be cool but I'm just wondering if it'll be too much weight to tilt. Anyway, here's some pics...

Yeah the bed floor will have to make way. I'm thinking of putting the tank up front near the cab and making one step up from the back of the wheel tub to the front of the bed.

Looking good man. Looks like you have made some progress. SO what kind of mods do you have to do for the grille and bumper? I got an 01 Vic I might have to got that route with.

The front crossmember had to go and I had to trim a little off the radiator support for the grill and apron to fit. The bumper will just need to be mounted by welding or bolting on a brace to the original frame.

I haven't had a lot of time lately because of work but I did manage to get the wheels mounted up so I could get the position of the cab and fenders where I want them. These were taken right at dusk (another reason for a lack of progress lately) so I had to lighten them up a bit with photoshop.
