Factory look but it's hiding something

Post by Levi W. Kring »

I am currently working on a few Hide The New projects for my '67 custom cab. here is one of them. (won't give up all my secrets)

Pictures will be forth coming.

I have a 200w pioneer deck that I'm installing. Instead of hacking up the dash and destroying the vintage look it will be hidden behind the factory AM faceplate. With the turn of the tuning knob the electric motor will lower the face plate and out pops the sound maker. Let me know what you think. Has anyone seen this before? I haven't. 8)

what type of motor are you using, and how are you stopping the travel of it? It obviously is a forward/reverse motor...

I'm using an old dremmel motor. It shuts off after it gets over loaded. The inverter for some of the other projects makes the transition. I will deffinatly post a movie when it is done. The tricky part right now is the linkage for moving the deck. :hmm:

Where's it going to come out of? I like the Idea, but I'm wondering how feasible it is? where there's a will there's a way though :D
