Looking good there John. I really enjoy seeing these trucks moving along. I just hope I can stay motivated when I finally get to start mine. :) What wheels are those on your truck?

im definately going bigger....was thinking a 351w stroked to 393 or 408 or maybe an FE which is what was orginally in it. it had a 360 fe it still has the big radiator so i wouldnt have to worry about cooling. i plan of fixin it up nice but hot rod it at the same time. so i want a hot motor in it...any suggestions?

I think it all depends on your budget? I mean sometimes motor that are hopped up need alot and sometimes the normal guys budget doesn't happen, like me i'm going to build a motor for reliability not hot just yet maybe down the road...Terry

Looking good man. Those military enlistment bonuses are nice expecially if your overseas and tax free.

I'd actualy go with a 410 or 411. Then go with a 4:11 Rear. Burn them tires off big time.

390 bore and stroke t0 410. And drop in a 4.11 Rearend and a nice set of safety tubes. After all a truck like ours ain't after good mileage but to cover that mileage pretty fast. And look nice doing it.
