Keith, nice looking truck. Sure you don't need a 3/4 ton work truck?

keith,
i have a trailer like that one, and in your situation i put aq couple 4x4 wooden blocks under the tires when rolling it on. it gives just enough clearance for the wheels to slide in the rails.
just my

SWB? It looks like its a longbed in the pics I have seen. Are you sure it isn't longbed. The bed looks the same length as the bed on my 70 lonbed parts truck. Am I seeing wrong?

No, you're seeing correctly....it's a LWB. I just didn't look closely enough and jumped the gun. I corrected my statement earlier in this thread.

What a deal you got! Look at all those parts!
The hood hinges that were on my '68 are like the one's you got, that's the older style. The later style has the normal looking (and better) springs plus there's a slight change in the stamped piece that makes it stiffer. It's hard (for me) to explain but if you put the two side by side, you'll see it. I eventually had to replace my original hinges because the springs sagged and the rivets finally popped. replaced them with the later style.
You also got some of the coolent plumbing for the remote tranny cooler used on the MX, did you get the cooler too?

Nope, there was no cooler....unfortunately. Thanks for the heads-up, I figured that's what that was, but wasn't sure. By any chance, do you have any pics of that transmission setup or the cooler, so I can get a visual?

Hey Kieth, I'll try to get some snaps of mine for ya this weekend, or maybe this week, if it quits raining.

That would be great....thanks!
That's just one of those things I've never run across, and I'm VERY curious on how it's set up.

Don't worry...I'm not cutting anything up. No part of this truck will be damaged or thrown away, since everything's in good shape. I'm just going to be....um....reassembling sections of it on a different chassis, that's all.
