Looks great! I might do this too now... except, I don't see how you got those wide frame rails under the cab... how'd you do it?

It really depends on the size of the hole. On the side trim I just welded it up. On the mirror holes I used a bolt and welded it in then cut off the excess.

The only thing I had to do was notch the floor brace that runs across under the seat where the frame goes and notch the rear of the cab, you can actually see that in this pic...

nope, the framerails are only about 4 inches tall down the sides.

did you notice the drivetrain bein higher up in the body? Tranny tunnel/driveshaft tunnel especially? I want to do my floor if possible, as its a basic custom job, more so than other things It needs, but I dont want to do it now and have to RE-do it because of clearance issues. I may need to just get the chassis swap done first as the truck isnt at risk to the elements of weather right now.

nope, no clearance issues at all with the engine or tranny. As a matter of fact I have a bit more room in the tranny tunnel with the new frame.

Thank you so much. It's nice to hear someone else appreciate what you've done. I haven't got to do anything lately because of the weather but I'm stockpiling money for the final push to the paint job.

The actual swap was pretty basic, no? You said only a few things had to be made. Rear mounts for the cab, but tranny mount can be reused/drilled to match tranny mount? I am really looking into doing this after the motor is rebuilt and back in the truck. I want to drive it for a few weeks, and then park it at my grandmas, and do the swap that way, so I can do the frame how I want. Full reinforcement, hydros, wheels, powdercoat...all that first. Get it mocked up/cut/notched and all that of course so everything mounts nicely when done.
