New mod: online radio

As I'm sure most of you have noticed by now, in the page header on every forum page there is an small animated icon. Clicking that will bring up a pop-up window, and will give you a choice between 10 different online radio stations that you can click on to stream the audio in. Then you can just minimize that pop-up window so that you can listen to some tuneage while you're surfing the forums. The streaming audio is coming directly from the radio station, so there's no bandwidth strain on the site or forums.

Note: this will only work on Windows computers, since the interface is Windows Media Player. I've been doing some searching and have found some RealPlayer setups that will do about the same thing, but I've never really been overly-impressed with RP, so I wanted to try something else out instead.

Just for the record: this current setup is being borrowed from another online music forum, so I don't have any control over what stations are available for selection. Now I just need to figure out how they got it all set up so I can do something similar here, and will be able to pick and choose what stations are available.

I found it before I saw the announcement! Awesome stuff. Thanks Keith, now I don't have to bother booting up XM first. :thup:
