2 spd. aux.
Has anyone ever heard of or know anything about the Waner(?) auxilary transmissions? A guy I know has 4 of them and I am thinking of putting 1 in 1 of my trucks. He said they came out of 80's era 1 tons. Thanks,Doug.

Haven't seen too many pickups with splitters installed, there isn't a whole lot of room for it. I owned a couple of 1940's 3 speed boxes, believe they were spicer, that were small enough to fit in a pickup, but they were under-under units. Gave them to a friend who still hasn't done anything with them.

Waner? No. Ranger? Yes. Rangers are under/overdrive units that fit between the engine and transmission. Can get 6 speeds out of a 3 speed trans. Supposed to be very good. Bad thing about them, all linkage, crossmembers, and driveshafts have to be moved or modified in order to fit. ![Sad :(](./images/smilies/icon_sad.gif)

That would make it pretty much theft proof. ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
