I don't know if they make a reducer/inverter for the ap but perhaps an aftermarket Chevy guage hung under the dash.

And with a cover for it a theif would look at the original guage and decide not to thief cuase it'll look like you have no fuel.

Keep us posted on what you come up with to make this work. I'm using the Jegs take with sending unit, but will probably go with aftermarket guages.

Ohms/Resistance
(Empty/Full)
0-90 Ohms - most GM cars, 1965-up
73-10 Ohms - pre-1989 Fords & most Chryslers
240-33.5 Ohms - Industry standard, works on many popular cars
0-30 Ohms - most pre-1965 GM cars
16-158 Ohms - most '89-up Fords

Most sending units have universal flanges that will work in any tank, unless it is home made. You should be able to go to your auto parts store and tell them you need a sending unit to work with those resistance readings mentioned above. If you can only get one which similar resistance values but not exact, you can usually bend the float rod and/or the tangs on the sender body to alter the resistance to suit.
