What is this part? I need to know the specifics, not just the general. In other words, don't just say it's a widget...I wanna know the specific application and year (if it varies).

its a wheel spacer for the lug nut on a f600 and larger trucks. i am unsure if this includes split rims or not. i think the larger f7000's had split rims
I thought it really was a widget, thanks for ruining it Keith. No it is a dizzy hold down but I am not sure the years either. I know that is an early one.
Small bock ford Distributor holdown clamp from 1969-89.

I dont know what it is.......YET
But I dont think its a dizzy hold down. Way too heavy steel and waaaay too thick. Definetly not for an FE if it is.
fordman might be closer with it being a wheel clamp. But I dont know.
It's a grease fitting for the left-hand muffler bearing for a `67 F450 heavy-half ton triple axle dump.
I've seen that item before, but, I think oldtimers is kicking in a bit (or maybe a very mis-spent youth is what's catching up to me) as I have no clue what it's for.
it is a distributor clamp,
not for an FE
it is an earlier one because its cast iron but it is for a 289/302/351W at the least, and if you are counting only the 67-72 trucks , would be the 1st year you could get the 302 so 1970-72 302 is the correct application.
you can ford a river or stream and get to the other side, if you dodge it you will not, and if you drive a chevy to the levee it will run dry and the music will die.
I was for sure that 69 was the first 302. I could be wrong on that though.

Well, I won't hold you to the correct years used on this one, but let's just say we don't have a winner....yet.
(Is it gettin' warm in here or is it just me?)

Its a distributer retainer for a 302. it keeps the dizzy in correct timing and secure to the block. the left pic is of the underside, the right of the top and the concave curved edge goes toward the distributer. I'm not sure how much more specific one can be than that
