ok i just bought a sand blaster off of summit racing
(number is CLK-SB9008 ) my question is do i need a air compressure to run it?

Of course you do....what else is gonna throw the sand out of the nozzle, if not air pressure? ;)

...and not a small portable version. You're going to need a larger one, something capable of sustaining at least 10-15 cfm.

thats all i can afford at the moment so now i need to get my air compressure fixed :) (broke last year when painting the snowmachine)

ya sure do, unless you have you kids blow into the hose as hard as they can!!! althopugh i dought the results would be very good.
