What is your favorite tool?

Post by ratfink »

Just wanted to know what everyones favorite tool is. It could be one you use at work, or at home.
Mine is one of my hand planes.

Suppose it would be the combo wrenches or my breaker bar.

is that where you hold your hand out the window of a moving car and make airplane noises?

I like my impact wrench (1/2 drive, Craftsman) best.

Mine would have to be my angle grinder, believe it or not. I can use a grinding disc, a sanding disc, or even paint-stripping discs in it. Or I can put in a cutting wheel and go to town, since I don't have a Sawz-all or chop-saw. I'd be lost without it....either that or have some REALLY big biceps by now.

this one infrared thermometer. Just point it a the header/maniford or motorcycle exhaust and see the temp, also works on finding dragging brakes or bad bearings.
