Time to put "Project Blue Beast" up.

Post by Ares68F100 »

Well I don't normally have time to do anything productive with my truck as it stands but I have accomplished something that will allow me to work a little easier on her in the next few months.

You can also expect some pretty hefty updates, hopefully at least one or two advancements a week. So look forward ahead on the following pages for more fun.

1968 Ford F100 w/360FE
Currently undergoing a motor swap and will be recieving a nice chemical bath after all the extras have been stripped off, given a nice Por15 protection covering, a new paint job and a nice LineX bed spray. It is gonna be a work truck/daily driver. Enjoy!

Some pictures of the engine when I first picked it up. (In the back of my Chevy) GASP!

Some actual pictures of the truck in it's current condition. The rust is mostly surface and the truck will soon be placed into a nice dry heated garage.

Here are some current motor pictures. Almost completed. :D

Any comments are welcomed, and updates will be placed into this thread as the truck progresses. :D

Yes sir it is a 360FE. It doesn't have anything to crazy on it. The block that is in the truck currently will be getting the performance makeover. The block going in that is in the pictures is a stock rebuild basically with an intake, edelbrock carb, 1" spacer, hooker comp headers, and a 3" exhaust out the back side. Like I said nothing crazy. Got a great deal on the truck too. $350 kinda runnin when I first got it. Doesn't look like much but should be nice comin out at the end of the tunnel so to speak.

Very exciting to get new parts, unfortunetely they don't seem to grow in bunches, only come one at a time. Sad day...

Haha, the Chevy actually just got it's motor rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago. It is tow queen, been towing a full size camp trailer behind it 95% of it's miles. Been abused, used, and put away wet. 454 Big Block, mmm torque...

Looking good! I can't wait to get back to the States and start on the one I'm getting (in my gallery).

Thanks for the photos and updates...I live vicariously through you all until I can get back to the land of Ford Trucks.
