firewall, pretty much done, just need to go and get the details. feather out the rounded corners, and maybe take off the steering column cover I guess is what that is. in the pic, thats still black/dirty.

my oh my, another day, another update. and a good one too :) I got most of the inner fender done and ground down, and I mounted it back for easier work levels and man, I miss it being fully assembled haha. It is going to be killer when I finish.

Im just trying to do what I can while the motor is at the shop, and the money is tight. I had to spend 250 on a room for the Unite show coming up in May, plus money for spring break. I just want to get started on this frame!

I maqy be building a frame for practice first. When I say frame, I mean like...1/3 or 1/4 scale out of 2x2 tubing. Something small, that if I mess up wont kill me to say I messed up on. And won't hurt any purists ;)

I think I am going to run a 2 stroke motor, single gear setup something like a lawnmower or the like to the rear axle and 4 link it as well. Something fun for the shows :) bagged of course ;) semi truck seat air bags, and ball valves :)

well, good news is the motor will be done tomorrow. the bad news is....im not anywhere NEAR ready for it haha. I still need to paint the firewall, patch the inner fenders, paint them, dip the tranny if possible, if not I need to wire brush that at LEAST. I need a new tranny to engine gasket, new wires, new hoses, clean core support, new clutch/flywheel..........you get the picture. The motor may be rebuilt, but the truck isn't ready to run at all. Not to mention the hack job wiring the truck has. I guess for break in though if I can get the motor/tranny/clutch/gas pedal/starter installed, I can jump the starter and break the motor in for a bit. I can crank it and run it everyday to get some "mileage" on it, so I can drain the detergent oil, and put in the normal stuff.

I like the way you had the engine painted black. It looks good to me and it really hides the inevitable oil seepage that will come later.
