you will have to cut your floor out in the hump area and install a removeable one. i would get the removable one before you do any cutting that way you will know where to cut it at.

Looks good but i am looking for the granny gear though. I have a trailer and that would be better to pull things with. So, I need the bell housing, tranny, floor cover, driveshaft, cross member(just to be safe), and thats I guess. Do I need clutch linkage stuff?

i have a NP 435 with Granny and 4.10s. With 3000 on the truck my 360 still had no need for granny.

The bell housing and Clutch linkage and throwout fork are all the same. In the old days the tranny was made to fit the Ford not the Ford to fit the tranny.

Even the cross member is the same it just might need to move forward to fit a different length tail shaft.

From these pics it doesn't look like you need to move the crossmember either.

What are your rear end gears?

you can ford a river or stream and get to the other side, if you dodge it you will not, and if you drive a chevy to the levee it will run dry and the music will die.

I have driven in places as bad as Alaska oh it was Alaska without it and without 4 wheel drive and across soft sand and hard highways. I still don't need granny unless I need to walk along side the truck as it idles across a field during a Hay loading.

OK.
that sounds all real nice and wonderful but i think i will still keep granny.she has not hurt me in all the years we have been together  and its also kind of cool to idle up hills in 1st, especially the icy ones when no one else seems to be able to do it.
how often you or i use it is not a big deal, i just would rather have it than not.
i have been thru plenty of nasty places in a 2wd automatic many times and made it too.

I just laid the new hump cover down in the groove that is already in the floor and drilled holes for the bolts. Then I removed the cover and used a marker to trace out a pattern about half an inch inside the new holes. Then I used a cut off wheel to cut out the floor. No sweat. Took about 20 minutes.

thats a good idea you had there do you have your u nuts to use to put the bolts through or are you going to use bolts and nuts to hold it down.
