Post by JB4020 »

i have a '71 f100 2wd longbed and i want to put in an np-435 or t18/t19. I heard this would be a direct bolt in but im not sure. Will it fit in without any changes

That's kinda true. Depends what it came with. Your gonna have to
cut part of the floor out. Get the tunnel cover. The driveline might be
different length/u-joint size.

You would need to measure the length of the 3.03 from the flange where it bolts to the bell housing to the end of the yoke and compare it to the 435. I believe the info you got is correct but I would check the length to make sure.I see you're in Pa. If you're interested I have a couple tunnel covers.

When I swapped from a 3.03 to a np435 i found that the driveshaft had to be lengthened because the 4 speed has shorter
