Man Marz...you're making us all look bad! And making me have second thoughts about putting 'bags on mine...You should take lots of pics of the chop if you aren't too far along, maybe I could do something in the magazine with them...
Nice work!

75 f series is correct but I measured my dads crew cab and it looks like the glass is to big to make it work so I will have to stick with the stock glass.71 LONG BED wrote:I'm a little slow, but I think I figured it out. The plan was to use the back window portion of a 75 to smooth out the back of my truck. I'll still give it a try and see what happens.

OK open mouth insert foot.
Dude that truck look so nice. Why chop the top? I guess I don't understand. I mean to me it makes the truck look so out of proportion when the top is cut down. I mean to each his own and all. But is it some kind of style thing going on? Like a trend with old trucks and chopped tops? Or like a west coast thing? I am not trying to sound like an ass and if I do i'm sorry. Was just trying to figure it out. Thanks.

I was reading last months issue where you had to redo the ifs. My question is where did you get the wheels in that article? Are they new Mach 1 or aftermarket?

Not to hi-jack Marz's thread, but I got them from American Racing. They are just starting to make them, these were the first set. Call the number in the story under American Racing in the source box and Gregg'll give you the details.RTG_RACING wrote:OK open mouth insert foot.

And my about chopping a top. It's mostly a matter of personal preference and can add to the right vehicle done right. It can also ruin them too, but it looks like Marz has a pretty good eye thus far! I've chopped tops on different stuff before and considered chopping my '68 and inch or two...

these trucks look like frankenstein in my opinion WAY too tall of a cab roof, compared to the body. an inch or two (3 would even look right) would bring it IN TO proportions IMO. Kinda like the old 29 style rods a lot of people are building. Started out with a roof as tall as the whole car, and with a huge chop, they look amazing. Like they should have from the factory.
