Finally starting Paint

Post by alvinator »

well, i finally got the truck ready for paint and we started by cutting the paint in the door jams, cowl, hood, back of cab and front of bed. This weekend, we will be putting the truck back together and then it will be ready to paint the entire outside. THe Blue you see is a custom made blue that we are calling "68 Ford Deep Water Blue". When i get a pic of it in the sun, you will see why, lol.

We have a '93 F250 that looks a lot like that color, it is damn near black in certain light. I'd love to pant mine about that color with a dark grey stripe.

Way to go alvi, yesterday was a good day for pinting up this way so i hit the back of the cab the jambs the cowl front(underhood) and the area between the driverside front and rear on my crew cab with royal blue.

so now when i paint the sportcustom it'll be ruby red or fire red its kinda a toss up.

WAAHHHH  One less boxwood green truck. Just kidding...blue is my favorite color. SOME day I'd like to due mine in a metallic sky blue.

That's gonna look really good.

Looks really good. What paint system are you using? BC/CC? Brand? Where did you get it? How many coats are you doing? What kind of primer.

Yes, I'm getting ready to paint one of my trucks.

C'mon alvinator, don't be a tease! Any new pics yet?!?!? I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished paint job, as blue is one of the colors I'm considering for my own truck.
