I'm glad you said that about the door. I was going to be sad if you left it like that. Everything else looks good. I was driving around in a 69 long bed when I was 14. It was about that same blue, w/ PB, no PS, and AC. Loved that truck.

luckily my truck has ps and pb but the only problem is the brakes lock up sometimes :( . we took the wheel off and got to the brakes and hosed them down with brake cleaner and the problem got better but they still like to lock up :( . about the door... yeah when i put the dooor back on i looked at it and could clearly see a coolor differance. so ill just throw another coat on.

If your brake pads got soaked with oil of some type they will lock up and there is no way that i have heard of to fix the problem besides new brake shoes!!!!!

I am back in california now. Winthrop was a cool old town. In seattle/winthrop i saw a old ford truck on just about every other street. When i got home i noticed a notice on my truck that says some one complained about my truck being dismantled. which is stuid because i just have pretty much my bumper to put on. once its all back together i will get pics.

:D i just put on the front bumper and the peice just above it so i dont get in trouble for having my "vehicle dismantled for a large period of time(10 days) " while i had it taken apart i thought i would repaint all the black on the grille, which i just did also. here are some pictures taken a few minutes ago. keep in mind that i still have not given the door another coat to match the rest and the hood trim is just resting in place because i have not taken the time to put it back on. also the door and driver side front fender has to be adjusted so the trim stays even.

and for the hood trim, whats the best way to get it back on?when i took it off it slided right off but i dont want to slide it back on because it will scratch the paint :( . should i take the weird pin things that hold the hood trim in place off or should i try sliding it on and be extra careful?

i think im going to try to contact the previous owner and show him that his old truck is in good hands. When i got it for free ( well, a little work) off of him i told him it would be a fun project and he didnt know what i meant, i think he would know if i showed him. hmm, i think im going to get his address and drive it up to his house and show him. if i do, i will tell all about it.

jeez with that much improvement you think the neighbor woulda not complained.

of course they may be jealous as they just spent 3-5k to have one scratch fixed on their car.

as for the chrome clips i'd unbolt them from the hood and slide them into [place on the backside of the te\rim them bolt them down to the hood.

for the before and after pic of the grille, it only took me about 12.00 dollars (for the paint on the hood and above the bumper) to do all the improvements you see in the pics.it was all just labor. im 99 percent sure of who put the notice on my truck. ( he tries to make the whole court perfect and thinks he owns the court i live on). almost everyone else in my court comliments my work.
oh and there was 20 dollars for the new wiper blades also.
