vacuum advance on a c6

Where is the vac advance hose supposed to attach? same place the brake booster is?

What does this do for the transmission? Is it what makes it shift?

Should have Full Manifold Vacume, so yes where the brake booster attaches.

Not sure how the internals work

The vacuum nipple on the modulator has a small screw inside. If you screw it in, it will take longer to shift. If you screw it out it will shift sooner and softer.
