NP435 Question w/pics

OK, now that im going back to school i started work on the '68 4x4 again. Im putting the trans back in but I dont know why there is a 1/4" size hole in the cover. Why is that there?

i think thats the vent. was a plastic piece in there at one time :?

Actually, I believe that's for the T.R.S. (Transmission-Regulated Spark) switch. It's not needed...just plug that hole.

A common Allen-head plug should do the trick nicely. Put some sealant on the threads to keep it from leaking.
