C4 tranny bell housing

Post by jguajardotx »

I purchased a C4 for my 67 with a 240. I am in the process of converting to an automatic. The C4 came off of a 302 so should I be on the hunt for a diff. bell housing??

Its the same.
the 240/300/302/351W/351C and some 1973 Mercury 400s are the same bellhousing pattern.
The C4, FMX and C6 are exactly the same.
the Manual transmission bellhousings are different between cars and trucks for flywheel tooth count differences.
