time to begin rebuild

well i thought i was going to drive the f250 for a while and was going to start the 70 swb when somthing went wrong on the 68. well, today it happend. so the swb is ready for painting and rebuild. since i have a 4 day weekend this week i will be painting it. i'm gonna use por 15 thanks to you guys on this site. hope to have some pics this weekend. got alot of new parts as well. will post them too. only prob i see is the cab transfer, but fordman told me to use a cherry picker. so, i will thanks bud. well, wish me luck. :thup:

You mean you're gonna use POR-15 on the exterior body panels?? I don't know if you're gonna like how that turns out...honestly. And then it's gonna be a major PIA to remove to paint it.

i meant on the frame and under the cab. i just need to know where to get this stuff at.

Order it directly from their website...that's where I get mine. You're not likely to find it an a typical auto parts store.

when you did your frame, how much did you use?

I didn't use POR-15 on my frame, I got it powder-coated.

However, one quart will be enough to do your frame. If you're planning on using it on suspension parts, bottom of the bed, etc., I'd get a couple quarts.

Hey I walked into NAPA yesterday and they had the complete line of por15 stuff. And it was a new display. Wasn't there a week ago.
