Some garage pix

Post by f100ranger1969 »

Its been over 3 years now since I began a simple restoration of my grandmothers garage and was never quite done until the last couple weeks or so. There are a few more things i would like to get but for now its close to what I had hoped for. The signs and license plates are my growing collection. Many are from vehicles we had in our family over the years, lots are from Carlisle car shows and a few were found in junk yards. The stacking cabinet you see in the back of the shop is full of old parts boxes, cleaners and memorabilia from the 50's and 60's that my shade-tree-mechanic-uncle had stashed away 20 years ago. I found this cabinet at an outdoor flea market a year ago and finally got it set up and wanted a way to display and preserve some of the old garage junk. My uncle passed away in 1984, I hope hed be proud to see what I did with his shop. I only wish i had half the talents he had.

Hey Jeff,

That garage looks great. You need to pull that extra seat out of the bed of your truck and put it up on a little 2x4 stand so you have a place to sit and drink a beer. I would hang out, out there all day. Nice job.

Now I gotta go clean my garage.

Awesome idea, hehehe. Had it on the floor and it is quite comfortable. Tryin to get a small electric cooler from my PT job that would be perfect for beer and would hold at least 4 30 packs!!!!!

Ha! I did just that, the seat out of my '83 was immaculate since the previous owner kept a cover on it from day one. I've been using it as a couch in my bedroom! [I'm obviously not married :D]. It'll go into my '72 soon though.

That's nice. Tight fit though.

I want air-conditioning in mine!

I wish I had a garage that I couldn't see the floor of

It sucks having to depend on having decent weather in western WA to be able to work on my rigs...
I figure I might get 3 or 4 good days a year to work on my truck at that rate...
