OLE69F100 Finaly home !!!
I just thought I would share that I finally got the old truck home and up to the shop this morning. I wish I could get the pics off my phone that I took real quick before heading to work but I am not smart enough to get that done. She is a little rough but no major rust for a truck that has been sitting in west Texas for the past 20 years. The only major areas I could see was the bottom of the front fenders and the back side of the cab down by the cab corner that look like a mud flap. I will get some pic of it this weekend and post them up on monday (no internet at home just yet). I hope to make this my offical update thread for everything I do. I have already asked many question and will have many more to come. Just had to share with the people that appreciate it the most!!

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

re: OLE69F100 Finaly home !!!
I know no pics I sux but I have some more bad news I forgot the disc with the pictures today so no pics . I did take out the seat and rubber floor and sucked up about 15lb of dirt out of the cab to find rusty floor pans, kick panels, and cab corners . Also scraped about the same amount of dirt out of the front of the bed to find more rust . I will try and get the pic's up as soon as possible. To all the Okies how is the selection of parts at the pull a part ? I have been looking for a parts truck but nothing I can afford just yet. I think my wife is jealous she keeps asking when I am going to come play with her and my daughter. I keep reminding her that it was her idea to sell my 04 and fix this one up. I don't think she realized the work that was going to have to go into the truck to make it drivable again. I told her I thought it sitting in the driveway brought a cretin class to the joint. All she could say is are you putting it in the shop this weekend? No I have to clean it up before I can put it in the shop. All I get is

SHE IS ALIVE!!!! poured some gas in the carb and cranked and cranked and finally the 390 started . I also removed the home made tool box and headache rack and made it look 10x better, but I did find more rust. The front of the bed is eat up pretty good. I plan on looking at a couple of possible donor trucks this weekend.

That rust looks familiar. Good luck with it. The truck looks like its been under water with all that dirt.

Not under water but on the wheels in a cotton field with west texas wind filling it up with dirt.
