Post by FoMoCo »

Hey All, My 300 EFI came to a halt about a month ago. Summer is winding down and other small projects take priority. Especialy When the soon to be swapped 360 is running really nice. Here's some pics so far.

Basically all I've done is add new gaskets except the cylinder head gasket, walnut shell blasted it, then 2 heavy coats of PPG expoxy primer. I'm not planning on painting it at this point

Go ahead and do the freeze plugs under the exhaust now too, They really like to rust out for some odd reason and are a pain to replace int he truck. Looks good and should run good. How are you going to do the return fuel line to the tank?

I forgot to mention that this engine is going to reside in my 69 2wd lwb custom cab.
For the return line, I'm going to sandwich the sending units top plate with two sending unit block off plates, then solder in a 6AN male fitting. The OE fuel rail will be fitted with Russel brand Adaptors that will convert the ford quick connect to 6AN. Inbetween I plan on using braided stainless and a walbro pump. No hard lines.
