Mine have nuts on the top bracket and bolts on the bottom bracket so I think you may need access to the inside of the door. Maybe some one will come along who has done this before.

re: Installation of West Coast Mirrors
After thinking about this for sometime I decided to go and look at my truck. There are marks on the doors where to drill. There are also clearence for carraige bolts at the top of the door and the nuts go on the outside. It amazes me if I just open my eyes and look little things like this make sense.

If you use the correct hardware its easy the top bolts are 1/4 in size and have a flat rectangle for the head. Now the bottom are expansion nuts or caged nuts. With out the proper tool to install them you have to use a bolt and nut to smash them in unless you get the rubber kind. to use the bolt and nut method you run the nut as far as you can go with it and screw the bolt in it to the nut then taking two wrenches turn the nut in the off direction. This will make the nut expand and seat You can get the caged nuts from lowes or home depot they both have auto fasteners. Any one of these will do the job for you

I use "Molly Jacknuts" (I kid you not, that's what was on the box)

GM used a lot of these and you don't have to remove panels.
Lowes has them, but they don't have the white sealer on them.
Drill a 7/16" hole and drop one in with a long 5/16" bolt, nut and 2 washers.
You have to collapse the nut assembly and the bolt, nut and washers is your tool.

mine were freaky. on the bottom, there was one of those things that fold in and then pop out and stay, like what you would use to hang something from the ceiling. they were such a paint to get out. there were big square wholes there too. i just dont get PO's.
though i would share some PO stupidity.
