update:
i went to the junkyard and my dad scored this heater unit for me. this is a picture of it allready installed in my truck. for the whole rebuild and cleaning, see this post http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... &&start=15

Image

I also grabbed the AM radio that is in the above picture and this picture. to see the little thread i have on it click this link http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... hp?t=25890
allready installed but not hooked up. (bought it to fill the gap in the dash)
Image

I also bought new hubcaps from damraider ( great guy to buy from) , a new tailgate latch, and latch backing both from Tim P.(great guy to buy from) and the black line was a accident when i was resizing the picture.

i painted one of my rims (just a fast paintjob, will probably paint all of them sometime in the future nicely)

i got a brake warning light from the junkyard that works nicely. well, a little too nicely. it stays on forever even with the engine running. what do i need to check and how do i fix the brake problem? and yes, if you have a really nice monitor, you can see that the "brake" lettering is upside down. just doesnt bother me enough to reinstall since its a pain.

pic of the sun visor holder.(not very exciting, i know)

im also currently making a headliner out of hardbard and blue vinyl. its about 1/4 the way done. ive just cut out the general shape.

my dad hooked up both tanks. we tested the button, and ....... It worked all along! the guage is hooked up to both tanks, and switches automatically when you press the button. and the button stays in when its in-cab tanks and out when its under-bed tank so we can label it.
what a relief! 8)
i think thats it for now. sorry this udate was so long, ive been slacking on keeping you guys updated often. ill try to keep posting frequently.

Keep up the good work!! Your truck is looking great. Now you need to get the rest of the parts to get that A/C working, too.

0ops, i just noticed i reposted a bunch of update stuff.

rednecktexan,
yeah, im using lots of that rustoleum before i apply the paint. me no liky rust. not that anyone would.
71 longbed,
i cant wait until i have cold air coming through the vents! it might be too expensive to fix though and not worth it if i have to replace the compressor.
