re: prject big red
My plans is to leave the exterior looking the same and add some different wheels, replace all rusted areas, replace inner fender aprons (already have them) and rad support (have it) paint the engine bay and the frame. add power steering and power brakes (have the parts).
The engine will be an 83 5.0 h.o. long tube headers (already built) and i'm up in the air on a trans, i have a c6 ready to put in, but i may go with a 5 speed manual, and regear the rear, what ratio will depend on which trans i go with.
Opinions are welcome on any part of the project, i am on a budget, so it will take some time. I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible.

Craftsman,
My first Ford truck, (born and raised in Chattanooga, got the truck there) was much the same as yours. Three on the tree, armstrong steering, manual brakes!
You got a good start on a nice looking truck!

What are your plans for the wheels?
If you're gonna change them out for something different, I'd like to buy those from you.
Thanks - Dennis

Re: re: prject big red
That is a gauge holder, made from a peice of 3/4" oak, i took it all the way across because from sitting in the truck it hides under dash heater box and duct work, it may get changed to something else though.Pipes71 wrote:whats that (Plastic?) piece under the dash on the passenger side, with the 3 holes in it.A/C?Or gage holder?
