started on the frame work for my bed cover. it should sit flush with the top of the bed rails

some sheet metal. not sure what gauge yet. trying to keep light but i don't want it too thin where its easy to dent. thinking i will make it raise in the all 4 corners about 1.5 straight up.

I always wanted a bed cover that was flush w/ the top of my bed too. I was thinking something along the lines of what you are doing, but on a slide. Sort of like a drawer. That way as long as the tail gate is up, it can't slide out, but then lower the tail gate and you can slide it all out a couple of feet to put something up against the cab.

I'm looking forward to seeing your done so I can see how it looks.
