Started My frame swap

Post by prostreetjim »

I was able to find a new frame for my truck that is already setup for a tubbed truck. I spend a day and got the front end off, steering collum out, got the cab and bed unbolted.I took the fuel cell out, i want to de-prostreet the thing put the battery back up front and the tank in the cab, I also cut the roll bar out. now that I am going to have it all off the frame I'm going to clean up the paint the underneth of the bed and cab. i still need to run brake line and wiring on the frame, hopefully I can keep the motivation going and have it done before summer gets here. here's pics of whats done I'll take'm as it moves along and post them hope you can see them click the site below http://cid-41dabfbc5e5da469.spaces.live ... wsignin1.0

The frame was cut up when whoever did the tub, it had some tubing put in for support but it was flexing when I was getting on it. The frame I got it done right and has already been blasted and planted. Much cheeper than gettin a new backhalf done on the old frame, just more work and will look alot better when i'm done, hopefully. I'll post the butcher job when I take the bed off

Hea Jeff,

You got some nice trucks too, bet that pickup on the flat comes in handy, I didn't build the motor in my truck, it's a 460 that has a radical cam and has no problem turning over a pair of 18" tires.
