You can still get the pumps at an auto parts store. They are universal with other makes and models. I don't have the PN, but they are available. I just did mine not to long ago. Take yours out and bring it to them.

Hey Fordman,
Yeah, that's what I was thinkin' too...
After doing some research, I found the orginal replacement Motorcraft ones at NPD for $24.95 (pn 17664-4) plus S&H... they also have non-Motorcraft ones (pn 17664-4A) for $14.95. They also have the bottles for about $27 (I'm not sure if the Motorcraft ones are $10 better or not.)
According to NPD those are for '68-'70, but they list the same part number for all '68-'96 except for the '95-'96 turbo diesels.
I'm gonna take mine in and see if the have one for a newer rig at the local C.R.A.P. store and see if they are the same...

I took a 1971-type water bottle with the internal later-model washer pump, cut a long section of the wire off of the parts truck in the wrecking yard (73-79 uses these bottles), cut a connector similar to the washer pump end plug on the '68 motor and made myself a plug-in conversion wire. I plugged the conversion wiring connector into the original plug in my '68's wiring harness, routed the wiring behind the bottle so you can't see the jumper conversion plug, I hung the '71 water bottle on my inner fender, filled the bottle up, and it works great!
The D1Tx part numbered water bottles are real easy to find in wrecking yards and it's easy to do the conversion. I know the water bottle looks different, but it's still a factory Ford part.

re: Windshield washer pump question???
Hey l1k2gadd,
That's a really good idea...
I'll probably do just that for my bus Olde Skool...
It doesn't have a washer at all.
I did find an orginal style MotorCraft one at NPD for $24
That was about the same as a generic pump at Cute Rate Auto Parts...
It should be here in the next day or so...
Thanks again for the idea...
