Red Deer swap meet mar 15

Post by mk »

Kind of late notice on this but our spring performance swap meet is this weekend. Put on by Quick-Times.com, a local hotrod newspaper. It's not near as big as the May swap but gets bigger every year.

Sorry about the late notice; I'd forgotten about it myself and barely heard about it in time. You weren't looking hard enough, Floyd :D
Though it was like usual, mostly chev and mopar, there were a few items around on the tables like clusters and small trim. It wasn't until I was walking out at the end of the day that I made my score: great deal on an excellent 71/2 grill surround and nice straight front bumper. I'm sure I walked by them at least half a dozen times earlier but that was because they were hidden by a pile of '66 sheetmetal(hood and doors). Ready cash spoke volumes as the guy wasn't thrilled with having to pack the stuff home again. I ended up with the two slick doors and a hood as well as he was taking them to a scrap place since he didn't have room to keep them. The doors are decent and if anyone wants them, you'll get a heck of a deal
