thanks guys.. todays update isnt much of a truck update.. I bought one of those garages in a box from tractor supply.. got it on sale on black friday and just got it up this week.. was 279 on sale for 229..I got to say I'm pretty impressed with it. the tubing is about 2.5 inches seems real sturdy.the tarp looks pretty good too, has a roll up door on both ends with zippers. unzip it and pull the rope and the door goes up! only problem I am goig nto run into is the door is like 6ft 3 inches, so I may need to set it up on some 6 x6 railroad ties I got laying around, but I figured I could bolt it down to the ties and not have to worry about sticking in the 3ft long spikes that tie it down then.Took a few beers and a couple of buddies and me about 2 1/2 hours to get it up Right now the new frame is sitting in the new garage ,hopefully this weekend can get all the suspension on it and get the cab on and start bolting up some stuff.

Please get us some pics of the garage once you have it up. Sounds like a neat investment to me.

well today was the first time in a long while I was able to work on my 68. Got just about most of the front suspension on the new frame, next weekend will put the rear and springs on it. And best of all I ordered my paint!!! going with viper blue, figured it would be a nice change to have something besides red, though almost went with the white, but the viper blue won out cause the wife picked it!

Not totally ready for painting the whole truck, but needed to get some for the bottom of the cab and firewall and figured Id do the interior to before I put the cab on the new frame. Also picked up a gallon of low gloss black paint for the inner fenders and radiator support. Hoping it will look good but that only cost 27 dollers a gallon from tractor supply, and I wanted to spray a bit on my 50 ford chop top before winter sets in. So looks like the bump has become a keeper after all and this winter will be spent trying to finish up the interior and getting the 460 ready to go back in it, then early spring fix the one bedside, put the rest of it together and then start planning on working on the chop top.. oh incase you havent seen the toy next in line heres a few pics..

I'll be posting some of the bump next weekend when I get it back down on all 4 wheels.. 8)

Dude...I dig the 50 Ford. Very cool! And thanks for keeping the flathead in there. Too many guys are quick to shove a Ford 302 or (shudder) a Chevy 350 in there. Flatheads are awesome!

As for the Viper Blue...that's the same color we painted our Formula SAE racecar in 2007. It's a hot color.

Thanks! yeah I'm in love with the 50, cant wait to get working on it. Always wanted a chop top shoebox ford.. now I got one! just need to find out how much it is chopped.. all it took was trading my triumph bobber  but I figured as far as investments.. and the cool factor.. the 50 was worth alot more to me..and its something I can do with the family. As far as the flat head goes.. gotta love the sound of one.. like nothing else.. and it just screams bad a** .Its coming out and will be totally rebuilt, set of alumn heads and alumn intake with 3 carbs,3/4 or full race cam, some fenton headers and a few other go fast goodies.. hoping to get around 200-250 hp out of it when all said and done.. wont be the fastest car on the road but it will be one of the sharpest..
