My New Glovebox Door - the perfect touch
Here's my glovebox door that I took off and had George Barris autograph on Sunday. It's especially Kool because he went to the same High School I did, just 21 years earlier.

So did you clearcoat that yet? I'd hate to see that messed up from an inconsiderate passenger.

He started customizing cars in late 40's and early 50's, and into 60's was responsible for extremely large number of magazine cars and show winners and also along the way (as a result of customizing cars for movie stars and other industry people-his shop was in Hollywood area)-got involved in making one of a kind crazy cars for the movies. He is often referred to as "King of the Kustomizers," he, along with his brother Sam, Gene Winfield, and Ed "Big Daddy" Roth, were the main trendsetters of their era.67fastbackFE wrote:Who is George Barris?

You are very welcome Carl, it was a good time and meeting you and your fun 67 was a highlight as well. I hope you'll attend the Dash to the Dells in Sept. even if you don't sell Ice Cream you'd have a ball. Many of the Badgerland F100's are from Illinois.
