That's actually all woodgrain Ryan.
I've cleaned up a few spots but.. pretty faded..
Tailgate panels wood also..
I was thinking to call Dennis Carpenter and see if I could buy just the vinyl for the trim. Don't want to spend the $600 for trim until I paint the truck.
The wife say's just get some of that woodgrain shelf paper.
Think I'll try some Pledge on it. :D

I guess the regular Ranger was painted black and the XLT's are wood.
It'll probably be a while for paint, but it's going to have to be done.
It's missing in to many areas, and the seams and drip rails need to be resealed before there's any permanent damage done..

Truck looks really good!

This really makes me want to pull my 302 out and paint it.
But it'll have to wait till i get a transmission.

ok, it's back together. There was just one spot on the rad that was leaking but I soldered that up.
Decided not to put the Edelbrock back on (not a big fan) and put a 750 vac secondary Holley on that I had. Little big but it is a good running carb..
Filled the fuel bowls, primed the oil system, drop the distributor in a she fired right up. Topped of the fluids and that's it except for a noisy PS pump. I think it's still just air in the system..
I've only driven my street but runs great, shifts good..
Time to get it registered. :woohoo:

That's likely one of the nicest bumps in the Northeast now, but you did kinda cheat.

I'll tell ya, all the years of building stuff there nothing like starting with a good base.
Working on this truck is like working on something that's about 1-2 years old... Nothings rusty, everthing comes apart.. Almost feels like 1974 again..Except the fuel cost.
