So....we are going to look around for a 76-79 4x4 front end, with disk brakes, instead of keeping the stock front end w/drums. Just another change of scope, cost, and schedule, but I think it's the best idea for now.

After not spending any quality time with our '69 4x4 truck project for a couple of weeks, we decided to take off the front end this evening, after going to watch the Astros sweep the Dodgers today!! Anyway, we removed the front end, and after taking a good look at a number of things we realized it needs more work than we first thought...
So....we are going to look around for a 76-79 4x4 front end, with disk brakes, instead of keeping the stock front end w/drums. Just another change of scope, cost, and schedule, but I think it's the best idea for now.

This always seems to happen during a rebuild, repair, upgrade,etc, so I am going to approach my truck as a restification when I finally get started on it . Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.
