So im a little ways along on a midlife refresher on the ol girl, today i got the headliner trim and the visors and mirror all painted black instead of that ugly off white. Ill psot pics when i am back on hi-speed internet. Now i just got to orcder floor rubber, insulation, and find a mid 90's split bench. I am trying to get the steering wheel off to trace the turn signal switch, but it isnt budging. Itried using a steering wheel puller but it is to big and the bolts wont line up. Im having aheck of a time trying to get it off. Any ideas? At the moment im tracing wiring gremlins. So anyways. pictures to come in a couple days

well after talking to the guy whos doing the gears in my front axle, the 4.10's he was going to use, actualy had a tooth on the pinnion gear broke off. soooooo im still looking for a set of front d-44 4.10's. I have a lead on someone that will take my 4.56's in trade so i should have those in a week or two. Today i fixed all my electrical gremelins except for the emergency flashers and my trailer brake controller. but i can live without those. All thats left is to order my interior stuff, install a sound system and put the front axle back in.

Is your 44 a low pinion? If so I have a set of 4.10s I don't need if your other deal falls through

well i had a good day in the shop. I got my front axle put back together and put back under the truck. got new brake hoses put on the front, and put new fluids in the front diff. I pulled my brake assembly and drums off of my old axle to put on the new one, and i got the carpet padding and floor mat layed out. NOw im jsut waiting on my door sill plates anda good drill bit, and some more black rubber and ill be done. Then all thats left is to put the seat abck in. I drove around for a bit with no seat, that was interesting.

. Carb is idling a little rough, but i think some simplea djsutments will do. Pics to come monday
