I don't know what all the excitement is over chopping a top... I want a "bump top" not a chop top!
But in all seriousness... that is going to be one heluva cool ride when you get it finished...

Yesterday I finally had my front windshield put in I paid $250. it took so long but it's finally done. The guy that did the job said that it was a little hard to do cause the way the glass curves. He told me that there is a chance that it may crack and if it does he will re do it for me, he also said that I may have to modify the sheet metal around the glass area to make it fit better??? I didn't see anything wrong with it but only time will tell. He also did a 67 chebby that was also chopped 3" that one came out really good cause the glass on those truck are more flat. I'm going to my house at lunch time today to take some pictures so that I can post them later this day.

Hey Whoaaanelly...
That's either for one really tall guy or a short guy wearing a 500 gallon hat...
That's looking awesome Marz... I like the bare metal look.
I got a question for ya tho...
How do you keep the bare metal nice and clean like that, here it wouldn't last 24 hours before it had a rust coating???

Hey Marz...
I was lookin' at the windshield installation...
The rubber used is grooved for the stainless trim...
I'm pretty sure the trim is supposed to go in before the windshield...
If yer not gonna use the trim, when you put the new rubber in make sure it is the grooveless kind...

I don't really care about brands Chevy Ford Dodge ...as long as it doesn't sound like two old dudes farting in a coffee can.

NICE choptop. Your glass guy did a good job. I figured that glass must be difficult to cut down for a choptop from what Kieth found, and what your glass guy has now said. You should get the details on how he thinks you can modify the frame opening, cause that truck is gonna be a keeper.
