New wheels for the 72

Post by fordman72 »

I bought some slotted mags that were on a 76 Bronco from a guy near by, I always thought these looked great on the bumps, they came with tires but I am going to change them out, I dont care for such huge lettering. They were pretty grungy, I used 400 grit paper to get them smoothed out and then I steel wooled them and then polished it with aluminum cleaner with the mothers speedball. First pic is before.

Did that truck have the little orange marker lights?

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

Those look great! Thought about just flipping the tires to black wall out? I think they look fine personally white letter out but to each their own.

Yeah, the white lettering is starting look ok I got all 4 on today and I actually didnt mind the lettering but the tread is only about half so I'll run them till I find a good set. I'll post another pic.

Looks good. I have a set of those that I'm waiting to put on. Thanks for the idea how to clean them.
