Finally got started on my bed repair
Well finally got started on the only real body damage I have on the truck. It's in the right rear bed side
I removed the bed and brought in to the garage to work on.
I then cut out most of the damage, but now I'm just trying to figure how to repair the tail light housing
If anybody has a taillight housing cut off a truck I would be more than happy to buy it off them

Looks good so far. I would post in parts wanted for tail light housing. I'm sure someone has a rusted out bed they could cut you one off. Hope project goes well. John

Sorry I can't do anything to help with your situation except wish you luck, but I was wondering if you had anymore pictures of your exhaust. Like with the bed and bumper on from the back. I'm trying to plan my exhaust and not sure where to exit it.
Good luck with your bed repair.

Thanks for the picture. What size pipe did you run?

I'm running Headman headers to 3" Flowmasters and 3" pipe all the way thru I also have a balance tube to equal out the pressure.

The exhaust looks good on there....Only thing I would have done different is point the pipe down towards the ground at the exit instead of straight out the back..

Jeepermc, The tailpipes are only temporary until I get the bed fixed and get a bumper for it then I will decide how I want them.

3" pipe, huh? That's cool. I'm going to do the same thing when I get the 460 swapped in. I think you just made up my mind on running it out the back. Did you buy the pipe prebent, or did you have a shop do it?

I had a local shop do it, they did an excellent job and it sounds great.

Re: re: Finally got started on my bed repair
Ahh...Gotcha.... On a truck it's probably no big deal unless you ever run a canopy or have people or a dog in the back, but I've had problems on various jeeps where fumes swirl up the back and into the passenger compartment with it straight cut or even slash cut towards the ground. Mine is pointed down at the ground and doesn't have that problem.. That's the reason I said I'd point them down.69NVF100 wrote:Jeepermc, The tailpipes are only temporary until I get the bed fixed and get a bumper for it then I will decide how I want them.
