Sorry, i posted this over at FTE first - new to the forum.
I just bought this 1971 Custom 2WD 360. (See rad. support question in General Forum)
Anyway, I'm just sure the motor has never been rebuilt before I laid my greasy hands on it. The heads have two different casting numbers: C8AE-H on the right and C8TE-6090-G on the left.
Is the one on the left a CJ? Or just a replacement head? Is it possible that it was produced that way?

It probably a Remanufactured Engine.
C8AE-H : is a 68 small port head used on many diiferent Car and Trucks.with about 70cc's
I cant find a Head with that casting # (C8TE) BUT I found that the 360 used a C8TE Crank...
6090 on a Head was used as a way to tell it was a High Performace but with FE's you never know....

They both are 1978 and the "A" is for "full size Fords (Galaxies) and the "T" on the other head is for "Truck". The "E" is for where they were wharehoused at. Ford used an "X" in place of the warehouse code for special muscle car parts.

It's an easy upgrade, relatively speaking. Just have to use the 390 rotating assembly (crank, rods and pistons). If you can find a 428 crank, that'll be even sweeter, giving you a 410.

Or if the block can take it, bore it out some more and use the 428 crank to have a 428
