Shelton Truck Show
August, 9 2008
Shelton, WA
This is a regional event and a lot of fun if you like trucks (all makes and sizes). I have brought my ’72 F-100 the last couple of years and would be happy to meet up with other Ford truck (any type or year) owners. Maybe we could set up Ford truck line up.

Y'know, that's right next door to me, and I've been here for four years now. Maybe I should try to go this year.

Cool
August 9th? Hmmmm, I need a reminder when the time gets close.
Gas will be 4 bucks a gallon by then so I doubt I'll drive mine up. My Kawasaki is in the garage screaming at me right now.

More details on the Shelton Truck Show.
The entrance fee is $5 per exhibitor so multiple vehicles are no extra charge and spectators are free. Besides $5 you will need proof of insurance, a UL approved fire extinguisher and two chock blocks per vehicle. The hours are 9:00 to 4:00. A contact person for the event is Jim Jolly at 360-426-5468.
I’ll update this post in July and see who thinks that they can make it at that time.

chock blocks??
Just because my pos doesn't always hold in park doesn't mean I need blocks. That's what the parked car ahead of me is for.

Just a reminder that the Shelton Truck show is just six weeks away. With gas prices being what they area I would not expect anyone to drive a great distance to be there, but are any locals still interested?
I was thinking of asking the organizers if the F-Series trucks could have a special spot (being that this is the 60th Anniversary and all).

As always, it was a good show, although some rain did pass over the site. There were several Fords to see, though only one other Bumpside besides mine. A red F-250 Custom 4x4 from Olympia. A member?

Sorry I missed it. I was seriously wanting to go but my Mother-in-law is visiting and my wife had a big dinner planned Saturday afternoon. Maybe next time.

Dang, I didn't make it to the truck show again this year...
I even missed the car show right here in town 'cause plum I forgot about it.
There were some real nice trucks.
heck Paul, I looked at them logs... they surenuff are long, but they ain't real big logs...
This here's is a big log...
One. two and three log (all from the same tree) loads were so common growing up, that I don't even remember seeing multiple tree loads until I moved to WA...
I remember askin' why they were haulin' tree limbs...
