thanks guys, i'll be proud when all the wiring is done tomorrow. here's a link to the led's i used. http://www.watsons-streetworks.com/ligh ... pment.html they are very cool and yes they are metal bezel around the led's. rjewkes, yes the column did come out of a 78 lariat.

well its all in and wired up,and everything is working correctly.i checked the speedo and its right on the money. man what a wiring jog that was! all in all i don't think i gave this project the respect it deserved in how big a job it was going to be, but its done :woohoo: .

did you use electronic or mechanical speedo,how does it hook up,i plan on doing something very similar....

i used a mechanical speedo, and it is a direct fit to your stock speedo cable. i was even lucky enough not to have to change the cable gear it was right on the money.
