Grundy is another insurer for our types of vehicles with the agreed-value.

I think the best theft deterrant is not having anything worth stealing. I think it is funny when I go to the store and see everyone beeping their car alarm and I don't even roll up my windows, or take out my keys. Nobody but me could drive that heap and there surely isn't any thief desperate enough to start digging through all the trash to find anything worth stealing.

:yt:  Altho I do usually grab my keys as we're getting so many meth-heads around here, one of 'em might want to try and "borrow" the rig to go get some anhydrous or something... :pout:

My wife has a handicapped placard she hangs on the mirror. Seems that those are getting more valuable than CD players... :?

It's the parking lot designers that are at fault for that one. If you go to a mall or large store like home depot or walmart you have:
The front of the store.
The seven lanes of parking spanning the length of the front of the store and at least the first fifteen spots of each lane, closest to the door designated handycapped... all empty. With the rest of the parking lot full and even the people who park in the closest non-handycapped spots having to walk 1/4 mile and use hi-powered binoculars or spoting scopes to see the entrance. I'm exagerating of course, but sometimes that's how it seems. Oh, and for a theft deterant... Anyone who steals my truck will be locked in a room with my ex-wife and ex-mother-in-law to take my place during a nag-session. I personally, would choose death.

Ray, thats 2 funny.

I simply moved my neutral start switch off the column to an undisclosed location like VP Cheney.

I have to move the lever and hold the key to start at the same time. It works fine as my neighbor who wanted to borrow the truck couldnt start it and I let him look for awhile to find the switch.

I've just Run a Switch to the MSD Box Power Wire and a Switch on the Fuel Pump.

Switch's were in different spots.

Now you all have me worried. I had my old F-250 wired so the ash tray had to be out to enablee the ignition. Pain in the but when your passenger pushes it in.
I think the neutral safety switch and good insurance is the key. I'm not worried too much about the cost or finding another 67-72 but the blood sweat and tears that make shrektruck mine would be a shame to lose.

Well if I ever start stealing trucks, I could get past most of that stuff pretty fast since I would hot wire and start it under the hood anyway. Even a fuel shutoff would be easy to get past with a 2 gallon jug and a chunk of hose to stick under the hood. It probably wouldn't take much practice to be gone in 60 seconds. A good hood lock would slow me down though.

Some SOB stole my spare off my 1999 Ford f250 4X4!
I use the truck to tow my 67 Ford Good Humor truck to show and events over 20 miles from my town, (it runs great, just geared low, and no top so it is like a whirlwind going thru it) , and most of the time it is within view at all times, or in my garage.
They cut the dam cable. The tire was NEW....What the hell is wrong with some people..Idiots..Jerks..
Just had to vent
....AH I feel much better.

I think we need to market some kind of frag grenade for those type of applications. Something that would explode and sent thousands of tiny sharp shrapnel into the skin of the theif, permanently tattooing his face in some sort of hideous blotch. It wouldn't harm the truck and would only have about an arms length "kill" zone.
