wt4speed,
along with the hanger flip i removed 1 leaf. when i bought the truck it had 4 leafs and the overload now it only has 3 and the overload.
i don't know the thickness of the material that the aftermarket bolt in c-notches are made out of but i was planing on using 3/16th to box in the inside of the frame after i cut the notch and welded in the pipe. as ive studied this closer ive noticed that the upper shock mount really needs to be moved out of the way to be able to box it in as far forward as i need to.
so now i'm wondering if you have to box the frame with the bolt-in notch
, does anybody know if you have to?
if not i may just spend the $ and get the bolt-in to keep from having to move my shock location.
anyway its all back together minus the c-notch until i figure the shock problem out. its now running off the new tank and its all working good. here's a before and after so you can see the improvment.
before.
after.
the tank.
