That Star Truk was a nice kit with those chrome slot wheels. Too bad the geniuses at AMT engineered the 73-79 amt kits as the long super camper specials instead of a regular wheelbase truck that a guy can relate to. The recent '79 4x4 model king release is a repop of the super stones truck.
I've got an open '94 lightning kit, Chris, and I've noticed that they didn't include an airbag steering wheel, just the plain one. Swapped wheels with a '95 kit I had before I traded it away.

I have the "boonie boss", a couple Firestones built and unbuilt, the remains of a Star Truck kit, and a few unbuilt AMT F150 XLTs and Flaresides. I also have at least one each of the Monogram ones. I had big plans, but didn't get to finish all my planned projects.

There isn't really one. Somebody was selling a resin cast body kit that I suppose you would combine with one of the early AMT kits, but I think its not that great and pretty hard to find. We've seen it here before. Maybe somebody can help me out here.

Not the RC one. This was 1/25 resin.

Here's the one you're thinking of, Steve, done by R&R vacuumcraft. Apparently there are still some around, available from Star Models.

It's basically a conversion from the AMT F350 kit, but only about half-way with the roof, wheel openings and interior unmodified. He modified a 76 grill by turning it upside down.

Best thing to do otherwise is to keep sending those emails to AMT/Ertl or Revell asking them to produce one...
